Wood’s gives new look to Lass and Lad

11-14 LAD finalWood’s is giving a new look to the Shropshire Lad and Shropshire Lass pump badges available to pubs, as part of a visual re-branding of their beers.
“We have been engaged with customers throughout the summer at food and drink festivals across the region, gaining valuable feedback as to what is important, both visually and information wise, for them when they approach the bar looking to order a beer. Beer drinkers who are not familiar with our beer stated they want to know the colour, flavour and the alcohol level of the beer before making a choice” Commented James Owens, Sales Manager.
“This consumer feedback has been central to the thinking in our re-design. We also wanted to give the badges a modern feel in order to appeal to younger people, more of whom are trying real ale for the first time, but were conscious of retaining our heritage in the look and feel of the visual” Commented Edward Wood, Managing Director.
The new look badges for Lad and Lass will be available to publican’s from the start of December, with Wood’s looking to roll out new badges with the same styling for Parish, Beauty and Pot O Gold in the new year.
